1.

It has been 90 days since my certification expired, how do I reinistate my certification?

You can click on the Certification link then add 1 reinstate to your shopping cart.  You must enter CPT number in "Comments" field. You have the option to also mail in a $185 money order to the NPA office. Make sure to indicate CPT number on money order. Also include current address, phone number, and SSN so that your information can be re-entered into our database system.

Can I pay online?

Yes,we accept Visa, Mastercard & Discover.  Click on Certification Link and follow the instructions. Enter your CPT number in the "Comments" field.

How do I go about becoming certified as a Phlebotomist?

Click on Application Handbook Link for qualifications.

How long will it take for me to get my certification after I have paid?

Processing time is 6 to 8 weeks from date of receipt of payment. You may request a letter of good standing be faxed, emailed or mailed to you while you are waiting on your certification.

I have been working for one year. What are the steps to get certified? 

Click on Application Handbook link then follow the instructions under "Reclamation Clause" category.

How often do I have to renew my certification?  Can I pay for more than one year at a time?

NPA renewal must be made on a yearly basis; but you may pay for more than one year at a time.

I am interested in Phlebotomy Training.  I live in the Metropolitan Area.

I recently married and I want to renew with my married name.  What are the steps?

You may renew online but you must email or fax a copy of your marriage license to NPA.  NPA fax number: (301) 386-4203.

I am interested in my students being tested by NPA.  How do I proceed?

Click on Site Testing Guidelines and Application Handbook.  If you have any questions, call the Director of Education at 301-386-4200.

I am interested in starting a Phlebotomy Training Program, do you have any information.

How can I prepare for the NPA certfication exam?

Click on the Education Link to find exam preparation.

After I have taken the NPA exam, how do I obtain my exam results? How long will it take to receive my documents in the mail?

Contact the school coordinator where you took the exam. NPA will not give out test results over the telephone. Results are sent out after 8 to 10 weeks. Count time does not begin until 30 days after exam has been taken. It is important to save your certification number. This will always be your CPT Number.

What do I do if I lose my Card or Certificate?

Click on Certification Link; select replacement card or certificate.  Enter your CPT number in the "Comments" field.

How do I obtain my CEU's?

How do I order a NPA pin?

Click on Certification Link to place order. Enter your CPT number in the "Comments" field.

Can I pay my late fee online?

Yes, click on Certification Link and select appropriate fee.

How can I verify if a phlebotmist is certified by NPA?

Email or fax an authorization release form to NPA.  NPA fax number: (301) 386-4203.
